Gay Pride in Birmingham 2005

Birmingham Pride is always the first one in the UK. Next is London Pride on the 2nd July, but London also has several other pride type festivals such as Big Gay Out on Saturday 23rd July and Soho Pride on Sunday 30th July.

Bournemouth has its Pride on Saturday 9th July. Then in August is Brighton Pride on Saturday 6th August, Manchester Pride takes place over the bank holiday weekend 27th & 28th August and the last is Cardiff on Saturday 10th September. The events are always a good day out. A chance to let your hair down and meet friends you haven’t seen since probably the previous year’s festival.

Birmingham is England’s second largest city and always holds its 3 day pride festival over the bank holiday weekend at the end of May. The parade, that starts over by the town hall and winds its way down to the gay village, was as usual great fun to be involved with. Special thanks to the Nightingale Club and its manager Upton.
