Birmingham Pride Fundraiser

The annual Pride Ball is a fundraising event, held 2 months before Birmingham’s massive 3 day Gay Pride festival. The event was sold out and raised over £15K for the Pride charity fund. Tickets, which cost about £60 per head, gave you a 3 course dinner and live entertainment, headlined by this year’s UK Eurovision entrant Daz Sampson singing his rap Teenage Life. The night was also a presentation night for the Midland Zone magazine reader’s awards.

The Midland's lesbian and gay community is gearing itself up for this year's 10th Birmingham Pride, to be held in Cannon Hill Park (about 1 mile from the Gay Village) on Saturday 27 May 2006 and the Gay Village on Sunday 28 and Monday 29 May. The festival, which attracts visitors from throughout the UK over a three-day period, is once again being organised by The Birmingham Gay Business Partnership.
Whatever you're looking for at a gay and lesbian festival, you're likely to find it at Birmingham Pride, an event with a great heart and a friendly atmosphere.
