Brighton Pride 2007 web site: BrightonPride.org
It’s the UK’s biggest and best gay pride
festival and it’s still a free event. The annual event is held in Preston Park, the first Saturday in August, and
attracts a crowd close to 100,000 people. The day starts early with a camp and
colourful parade that leaves the beach promenade (by the Pier) at 11am. Then it
winds its way through the city finishing at the park. As usual dominating the
park this year was Gaydar
& Wild Fruit’s
massive dance tent, a fun fair, Revenge cabarate tent, lesbian
corner, sports arena, and a shopping village.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get
to Brighton Pride this year because of an important rugby League match I had to
play. My boyfriend Erick managed to get there, here are the photos:
