Gay Cardiff
Cardiff is the Capital of Wales and best
know for its castle Cardiff
Castle, and hosting the
1999 rugby world cup. It's a very friendly, tight community city. One of my
favourite's and just 45 minutes from Bristol.
The cute welsh accent from the local valley boys is a sure turn on, that is if
you can understand what they’re saying! Here are some reviews and photo
galleries from past events…
Here is a list of the best gay
venues in Cardiff:
Club X is on Charles Street. It's the largest gay club
in Wales
with two separate dance floors. So whether you're a muscle, techno hard-head or
camp handbag queen there's serious boogying for all. The cafe bar upstairs is
also open daytimes for a tasty snack. Telephone 029 2040 0876
A smaller club / bar
opposite Club X is Exit Bar.
This has been open for about 10 years now and always has a good friendly mix of
people. It has a central dance area and open till 2am most nights of the week.
It offers many different drinks promotions and cheap entry in relation to the
other two clubs. Details on 029 2640 102.
If you really want a
great atmosphere get your self into Minskys, a gay friendly cabaret bar. It's based on Funny
Girls in Blackpool with Drag on Thursdays,
Fridays and Saturdays. Normal pub hours apply from noon also serving food
during the day. Details on 029 2233 128.
The Golden Cross is quite a large pub well known for
its food. It's at 283 Hayes Bridge
Road, open normal pub hours from 11am. Details on 029
2394 556. Also there are another 2
new-ish gay bars in Cardiff:
Lush is a cosy, quiet bar situated
opposite Kings Cross. Icon is
an ultra-stylish bar on Charles
Street, just down the road from Exit.
The longest running pub
in Cardiff
(over 30 years) is the Kings Cross situated on Caroline Street. It's a nice venue with
regular cabaret entertainment. Telephone 029 2649 891.
A large gay gym complex
called X-Pose is great for a workout
or sauna. Tel
