Miami White Party Week

Miami, FloridaRevolution: The White Party 2004 week of fundraising events raised close to $1M (gross) for Care Resource, South Florida's one source for HIV/AIDS services.  Early estimates on ticket sales reveal that 15,000 guests from across the globe attended White Party 2004 events, approximately 1,800 revelers attended the 20th annual White Party at Vizcaya, Muscle Beach drew over 2,000 participants, the annual Heatwave Pool Party drew approximately 700 partiers and the new White Starz event – which was co-produced by Care Resource and Michael Tronn Enterprises - at the Coconut Grove Expo Center attracted close to 2,000 partygoers - who danced to the sensational sounds of DJ’s Tony Moran & Junior Vasquez until 5am!

This year's White Party events also attracted a number of celebrities including pop culture icon Yoko Ono who made a special appearance at the 20th Annual White Party at Vizcaya before heading over to the Coconut Grove Expo Center to perform her second #1 Billboard Hot Dance Club Play hit "Everyman.../Everywoman…” which promotes gay marriage.

Also in attendance that evening was “Sex and the City” fashion stylist Patricia Field who was the official host of the 20th Annual White Party, the one and only Chi Chi LaRue who hosted the VIP room, and reality TV stars Brandon Quinton from Survivor Africa and Daniel Renzi from The Real World Miami.  There was an electric performance by Greece’s #1 pop star Anna Vissi – who wowed partygoers with her new song “Call Me.”  Which was shortly followed by a very special surprise performance by the queen of the dance music scene, recording artist and TV/radio personality RuPaul – who took to the stage and belted out several new songs from her newly release CD “Red Hot” as well as an amazing rendition of her classic hit song “Supermodel!”

Also at this year’s Muscle Beach event, which took place at 12th Street and Ocean Drive, guests were blown away by not only an out-of-this-world performance by legendary R&B diva Jeanie Tracy – who performed her hit song “Cha Cha Heels” – but also by the sizzling sounds of DJ Brett Henrichsen – who also mixed and produced this year’s White Party XX – Collectors Edition CD on Masterbeat Records!  Other notable parties that blew party-goers away during the week included the extremely successful White Heat bash – featuring the talents of DJ Manny Lehman and DJ Abel - and the White Horizon morning party - that featured the electrifying sounds of DJ Victor Calderone - both of which took place at one of Miami’s hottest nightclubs Club Space, located in downtown Miami.

“We are thrilled that this year’s week of White Party events were such a big hit with our guests.  Their enthusiasm, with all the changes that were made this year for the twentieth anniversary apparently struck a chord with the community and helped make this years’ events more successful than ever,” says Care Resource Executive Director, Rick Siclari. “However, even after twenty years of AIDS/HIV research, education and countless hours of battling this terrible disease people – especially minorities and our youth – are still being infected,” he added. “We live in hope that one day the battle will be over, but until then White Party will continue to infuse lifesaving funds to our agency.”

Plans are already in the works for the twenty-first annual bash.  Because of their great success this year the popular Muscle Beach party will remain on Sunday afternoon and the main event –the 21st Annual White Party at Vizcaya A.K.A. the “Crown Jewel” of AIDS fundraisers – will take place on Saturday night once again!  The White Party 2005 will take place November 23 – 28, 2005!
