For me Salvation at Cafe de Paris was by far my favorite club night. It was the club night of the month that all the buff boys in London would look forwards too. Wow I had some good times there. Cafe de Paris is an exclusive upper class venue, full of opulence and glamour. It only holds about 700 people but that is what makes it exclusive, along with its beautiful layout and decor fit for a queen... or should I say muscle marys!
When Salvation announced it would be going back to Cafe de Paris for its 13th anniversary it got a lot of people very excited. Promoter Steve Elliott and John Addy did a great job transforming the venue into a feast of light in purples and golds, lazers and a giant LED screen. The sexy dancers looked fantastic in there diamond studded outfits and diva fetish designer Marnie Scarlet added some very colourful visual displays in her outfits and fans. And did you know she is a real girl not a drag queen! plus it was great to see her do 3 costumes changes throughout the night, too many drag queens these days stay in the same costume all night. Maybe she was inspired by Lady Gaga... any way well done, very impressive.
Happy Birthday Salvation, long live you!
