The 2004 festival, which stretched over 10 days,
was a massive success and raised may hundreds of thousands of £’s
for charity.
The highlight was the Gay Pride Parade on Saturday 28 August which saw crowds
of people seven or eight deep lining the city’s streets to see over 60
gloriously decorated floats representing organisations from across
Sponsored by Queer and Essential, the
pride main stage featured a host of stars giving support and entertaining the
throngs of partygoers ranging from families with young children to pensioners.
